To enhance the international reputation of SCAD as a preeminent source of knowledge in the disciplines it teaches, the school offers 15 undergraduate and graduate degrees in advertising and branding, beauty and fragrance merchandising, creative business leadership, design management, luxury and brand management, service design, and social strategy and management.

The SCAD School of Business Innovation prepares the next generation of creative leaders to navigate the rapidly changing business landscape through in-depth industry knowledge, design thinking, research, and collaboration. With a curriculum that focuses on fundamentals of business design and economics, quantitative insights, global supply chain management, life cycle marketing, brand acceleration, social analytics, and more, the school’s first-class programs empower students to become experts in a subject Forward thinking who will deliver transformative innovation for business.
The College of Business Innovation is led by Dean Victor Ermoli. Dean Ermoli also oversees the College of Design, has been with SCAD for more than two decades and has led curriculum design for several programs at both schools. Named one of America’s 25 “Amazing Landmarks” by DesignIntelligence, Ermoli holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in industrial design, and is leading the new school through the lens of design and entrepreneurship. In addition to patents in the United States and Canada, and over 30 years of design experience, Dean Ermoli has led studio classes where his students have designed products for Coca-Cola, Fossil, Pentair, Dell Computers, and many more reputable companies.
The College of Business Innovation is also headed by Assistant Dean Meloni Moore, who has held executive and management leadership positions at companies including Estée Lauder, Liz Claiborne and Toys “R” Us. Moore, who also leads the SCAD Business Program in Beauty and Perfume, has undergraduate and graduate degrees in business administration and offers a brand-oriented, global business perspective to lead the school.
John Denham is an industry visionary with extensive experience building brand identities and delivering multi-billion dollar growth for leading global companies such as Procter & Gamble and Kraft Foods. Most recently, Denham served as Vice President of Strategy and Accounts for the Lextant Corporation, working with clients such as Pfizer, Clorox, and SC Johnson.
Alessandro Kanata has worked for over a decade in the luxury sector across three continents in executive-level positions with a focus on business development and communications. Kanata works as Director of Sales for companies such as Buglioli, Isaiah and Suttor Mantelassi in Milan, and is an expert on luxury brands and consumer behaviour. He holds two final degrees from leading European business schools: ESSEC Business School in Paris and Singapore and Commercial University Luigi Bocconi in Milan.
Peabody and Emmy Award winner Christopher Beller joined SCAD in 2020 after serving as Senior Producer and Senior Director of Video News and Programming at CNN and CNN Digital, growing CNN Digital’s audience by more than 400% over a five-year period and coverage Extended from 17 hours to 24 hours a day. At CNN Digital, Beller has led digital content strategies for a suite of international digital products that have generated more than $6 billion in annual video views and $90 million in revenue. Prior to CNN, Peller was an executive producer at Sony Pictures Entertainment, earning the highest rating for shows on the network in 2005 by “Games Across America”.
Prior to joining SCAD in 2012, Oscar Betancourt served as Vice President and Co-Creative Director of The Star Group and won numerous advertising awards. Betancur’s client experience includes Warner Brothers Music, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Campbell’s, Johnson & Johnson, Mattel, and Tyco. As Associate Head of Social Strategy and Management at SCAD, Betancur brings an interdisciplinary curriculum with his background in advertising, graphic design, mobile media design, and fashion marketing and management.
Advertising and Branding
SCAD Brand Advertising students research, create and publish brand messages that boost engagement, motivate action, and win prestigious awards such as the ADDY National Awards and more. Under the guidance of SCAD faculty, students have contributed to major campaigns for companies such as Comcast, Chase Bank, Kodak, and Nintendo, and upon graduation, have worked with the world’s best agencies; The program features a 100% graduate employment rate. By mastering cutting-edge resources such as game engines and augmented and virtual reality equipment to create their own branded experiences, students graduate to be versatile, multi-systems storytellers ready for career paths in emerging creative technology.
Cosmetics and perfumery
Beauty and perfume are a $530 billion industry powerhouse. In the SCAD Business Beauty and Fragrance program, students graduate with a global degree focused on business and interested in careers in top brands. Led by faculty from major companies such as the Estée Lauder Companies and mentored by celebrity guests from international companies such as L’Oréal as well as boutique lines, SCAD students gain a deep understanding of the beauty industry based on future marketing techniques, product development, brand packaging and entrepreneurship. The program culminates in the development of a unique beauty brand or product and launch strategy.
Creative Business Leadership
In the face of constant transformation, more established companies are seeking innovative leaders to reimagine their services, products, strategies, and operations. Enter SCAD into Creative Business Leadership. In this one-year master’s program that complements all Bachelor’s degrees in SCAD, SCAD students turn into entrepreneurs who are ready to run successful businesses or in-house entrepreneurs who promote institutional innovation within existing organizations thanks to SCADpro’s collaboration with Fortune 500 brands and mentorship by visionaries in the Tiffany and Co. and Samsung, Clayco, and more. Students use simulation software to mimic multifactorial decision-making scenarios and the risks that CEOs face, and to understand market volatility and capital raising challenges.
SCAD, the world’s premier site for the study and practice of Design Thinking, is a living laboratory for the application of Design Management – a system that enables companies to unleash innovation, think and act like designers. Design management students gain experience that will reflect their pivotal careers in the professional world and are ready to enter a market that values creative design thinking, business theory, consumer needs, prototyping development and product testing. Luxury and Brand Management
As future innovators in the luxury market, SCAD students enter this global $350 billion industry through five routes: technology, travel, hospitality, beauty, fragrance, and fashion. The world’s premier master’s and master’s degrees in luxury and brand management reflect the strength of the vast and evolving luxury market. The customized curriculum at SCAD, which focuses on global distribution and marketing strategies, financial analysis, supply chain management, and consumer engagement, explores the full scope of the international luxury industry.
SCAD offers the first and only BFA, MA, and MFA design service in the United States. Service designers create intuitive systems that organize three elements—people, processes, and hardware—to improve services across each area of human activity. In SCAD, students learn how to research and analyze human behavior, societal needs, business models, and competitive environments to turn those ideas into strategy. Social strategy and management
SCAD students prepare to launch brands at the forefront of the social media feed through a curriculum that integrates advertising, branding, graphic design, marketing, photography, film, motion graphics, television, and writing. Students coordinate online branding and cross-promotion and become adept at creating compelling campaigns, from brand storytelling and strategy to analytics and audience engagement. Professionally, they become the creative managers, content creators, and community managers who orchestrate videos, photography, graphics, and copywriting across digital channels to start real conversations and accelerate growth.
