Some companies have allowed permanent work from home after the pandemic, but you may not be so lucky to work for those companies. So, we decided to look for jobs that you can do if you want to work from home for life.
1. Freelance work
When it comes to working from home for life, there is no better option than self-employment. You work at your own pace, on your own time, and you get paid the money you deserve. There are no restrictions regarding the field of work, you choose your field of work, be it in writing, design, consulting or any other skill-based job in the world.
You are not bound by borders, you can work with a client in India or a client from the UK. You can even implement several projects simultaneously, all you have to make sure is that the project is delivered on time without compromising the quality of work.
2. Social media manager
Since the social media manager job is completely virtual, there is no need to work from the office. All you have to do is manage the presence of your customers on social media, and you can do it from home or from anywhere in the world.
3. Affiliate Marketer
Affiliate marketing is that you earn a commission when someone buys something you have recommended. Let’s say you have a website or even an Instagram page, and you refer a book on Amazon, if someone buys that book using your link, Amazon pays you a percentage of the sales.
There is less startup cost in affiliate marketing and you can start earning passively as soon as you get started. Once you have a wide social presence with a good number of followers, you can earn very well through affiliate marketing.
If you are a creative individual and can create animations and visual effects for TV, film, video games, and other types of media, you can become a freelance animator. You can work from home for different clients and since this is a creative field you can earn good money based on your skills.

Gone are the days when you had to go to pastry schools to become a baker. If you bake really good cakes that get people drooling, or make designs that catch everyone’s attention, you can become a home baker.
The setup cost can be quite high, and you may have to start baking cakes and pastries for your close ones, but this is one area where word of mouth will take you a long way. There are a lot of successful bakers in India who are making really good money without the burden of culinary school debt.
One job that is easy to setup without a lot of startup cost and that enables you to work from home for life is blogging. All you need is a website, and if you can’t have your own website at first, you can start with websites like blogger and WordPress.
One thing to keep in mind is that profiting from blogging is a time consuming process. It will take some time before you can start making money from your website. But once you prove yourself, customers and money will follow.
7. Customer Service Representative
Every company needs a customer service representative. If you have good communication skills and don’t get angry easily, you can become a customer service representative and easily work from home for life. The companies even reimburse you for your phone and internet bills, so the related cost is also very low.
8. Event Planner
Anyone planning a birthday, anniversary or any type of event knows what a time-consuming and tiring task it is. That’s why people are happy to delegate this work to an organized individual who can plan events for them.
You don’t necessarily need an office, you can work from your home. One of the mandatory things is to understand the client’s requirements and deliver everything according to his expectations.
9. Travel Agent
People love planning their holidays, so much so that they spend long days finding good accommodation and making a satisfying trip. They think they are saving money but they don’t understand that they are losing their valuable time.

There is a common old saying If you are good at something, never do it for free. If you are really good at something, create a YouTube channel or Instagram account, shoot educational videos, and start posting. Once you establish yourself, you will start getting brand partnerships and deals and can earn very well.

Every online business needs someone to design their website, banners or visual ads. You don’t even need a degree or certification in this field, if you are skilled and can do your job well then companies will pay you.

Again, if you are good at something, start teaching it online. Whatever your area of expertise, you can always find people who are willing to learn. You can take advanced classes or offer one-on-one mentorship. You can even start uploading your educational videos to the many teaching platforms available online.
