It has no strategy

Marketing strategy is the overall plan of a business to reach potential consumers and convert them into customers for their products or services. Most business owners who seek my coaching services come because they don’t have an effective strategy. They never spend time working on their business and have no clear marketing goals. Marketing strategy is only part of the marketing plan. Here are some examples of marketing strategies – content marketing, email marketing, email marketing, referral marketing, promotions, influencer marketing, to name a few. Not understanding your customers

When I was a college student, working as a part-time telephone researcher at a company called BMRB, I called clients who purchased bathroom equipment. It seemed really boring at the time, but I later realized how important this market research is to my clients. Product improvements made due to research.

If you don’t tell your customer what to do, they won’t. I say this over and over again. You cannot serve everyone. You have to specialize in targeting the right audience. Your target audience is no longer just about target demographics – the age, location, and hobbies of your ideal customer. You have to dig deeper and understand their deepest fears and pain, their purchasing motives, and potential objections, and then work out how you can resolve them.

Marketing success takes time; It takes time for your target audience, like you, to know and trust you. If you’ve been marketing for a month, that’s not enough time to determine if it’s working. It takes at least 6 months to see if your marketing campaign is working for you. Consistency is key because you may be tempted to give up while your strategy is still being developed.

Bad products or services

If you’re not getting a flood of testimonials from your customers or referrals, your product or service isn’t great. Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t improve it, remember to do research and ask customers how you can serve them better.

Have you ever visited a website or been interested in a product but it is difficult to purchase because the instructions are not clear or there are not enough payment options? It happens, which is why you have to make the buying process for customers as easy as possible.

Not analyzing your marketing campaigns

A campaign is a specific strategic effort to promote something. For example, right now, I’ve been helping one of my clients with marketing campaigns. As it works well the campaign will continue but if it is not good we will keep the target but change the tactic.

Don’t test or innovate

It is rare to find a business owner who will immediately market their business unless, of course, they hire an expert. You will test a lot of strategies to find the best one(s) for your business and make adjustments when necessary. One of the principles of good marketing is test, test, and keep testing.

Don’t invest in a marketing coach
