Record Label Coordinator – Pedestrian Jobs

Sweat It Out is a Sydney-based record label started by the late and great AJAX. Central Station Records has a long history in the Australian dance music scene dating back to 1976.

We are looking for a dynamic, music loving person to assist the team with the distribution of music, general office administration, marketing, PR strategies and updating relevant social media for key brands including Sweat It Out, Club Sweat, Central Station Records, Tinted Records , Dinky Records, October Records, Dark Machine Records and Soul Modern.

Music, digital distribution or media experience is advantageous, but not essential for the right candidate with attention to detail & ability to juggle a heavy workload.

Distribution coordination tasks include:

  • Assistance on digital deliveries; asset collections, creating metadata, delivering to distribution partners and managing the release schedule
  • Maintain Central Station and Sweat It Out catalog number and barcode logs
  • Collaborate closely with A&R in sourcing audio, label copy and artwork for releases.

Working closely with the Promotions and Publicity Manager:

  • Assist in updating the PR contact database
  • Assist with press / blog pitching
  • Responsible for colating all updates across DSPs, charts, radio, blogs/press, club, for regular campaign reports to stakeholders
  • Responsible for servicing new releases to externally curated Spotify playlists, and developing relationships with playlisters
  • Setting up campaign timelines and communicating to stakeholders via ASANA
  • Manage the record keeping of final PR docs; Including press releases, press shots, timelines, pitching sheets, PR schedules & campaign reports
  • Assist with press release creation and formatting into Mailchimp

Marketing Coordinator duties:

  • Creating & sharing Linkfires/Assets
  • Collecting and preparing marketing data for campaign reports
  • Assist with social media management
  • Work with design department to create visual assets needed for marketing and promotion of certain releases including shareable graphics, channel art, adverts, etc.
  • Review release campaign timelines created by A&R and Marketing Manager and assist with the rollout, including communicating with select artists and partners and uploading content to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and Central Station & Sweat It Out websites.
  • General office administration tasks include ordering stationery and office supplies, managing the studio booking schedule and checking equipment after use as well as keeping the kitchen and bathroom supplies stocked.


  • Music Management / Public Relations or related qualification would be desirable


  • 1-2 years in a Marketing/Admin Assistant role
  • A strong desire to work in the music industry, specifically electronic and dance music
  • A strong understanding of PR, Marketing and Digital concepts
  • Proven editorial skills – preferably in electronic music
  • A good understanding of youth digital media landscape
  • Advanced skills in office administration including time management and computer skills
